Crossfit Pink!!

 

Ladies!  Want a break from the typical Downtown San Diego gym scene?  CrossFit East Village now offers CrossFit PINK, an exclusive three-days-a-week fitness regimen just for you.

Like standard CrossFit programs, the workouts are varied, functional movements that are guaranteed to improve your abilities across the spectrum of fitness.  However, our PINK program is for women only, offering a fun and effective workout …plan specifically tailored to help you attain the toned, flexible, and sexy body you’ve always wanted.  Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a working professional, or an elite-competition athlete, CrossFit PINK will help you reach – and surpass – your personal fitness goals! Come on out and give us a try:  Classes are led by our senior CrossFit instructor, Grant, and meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:30 AM and PM and on Saturdays from 11:00 AM-Noon. Classes cost $7 per session at the drop-in rate or $60 for unlimited monthly access, and they are free for CrossFit East Village members.

July 4th Holiday WOD 10:30 A.M.

Though Crossfit East Village will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday, we will be having a 10:30 A.M. holiday WOD.

Green Chili Turkey Burgers

RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Green Chili Turkey Burgers
2 (4 oz.) cans diced green chiles
1 pound ground turkey
1 cup cilantro, finely chopped
½ cup onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon celtic sea salt

In a medium sized bowl mix diced chiles with turkey, cilantro, onion, cumin, chili powder and salt

Form into burgers and grill

PALEO BREAKFAST BARS

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cup Blanched Almond Meal
¼ teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ cup Grapeseed Oil
¼ cup Agave Nectar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ cup Shredded Coconut
½ cup Pumpkin Seeds
½ cup Sunflower Seeds
¼ cup Almond Slivers
¼ cup Raisins

  1. In a small bowl, combine almond flour, salt and baking soda
  2. In a large bowl, combine grapeseed oil, agave and vanilla
  3. Stir dry ingredients into wet
  4. Mix in coconut, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almond slivers and raisins
  5. Grease an 8×8 baking dish with grapeseed oil
  6. Press the dough into the baking dish, wetting your hands with water to help pat the dough down evenly
  7. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes
  8. Serve

Makes 12-16 bars
